The Xi'an City Wall Lantern Festival has been held for 32 sessions since 1984 and has become a well-known cultural tourism event, as well as an important festival celebration in Xi'an.
Linked with the Shanghai Yu Garden light show, the Nanjing Qinhuai River light show, and the Moscow New Year Lantern Festival, the festival also provides residents and visitors with special and innovative lantern festival ideas.

Comprised of five main areas, the lantern festival covers an area of 2 square meters. All the lanterns use LED lights, which can save about 80 percent in electricity and be more environmentally friendly.
In addition to the lanterns display, this year's lantern festival has also made great efforts in terms of bolstering visitor experiences, offering creative interactions, creative markets, and festival performances.
