The train is carrying 43 containers of photovoltaic (PV) modules of LONGi Green Energy Technology Co, worth about $4.8 million.
The train will go directly to Qingdao Port from Xi'an International Port without any stops or reorganization. The modules will then be transferred to a COSCO Shipping vessel and shipped to Antwerp, Belgium.
"The new freight train service has opened up a new export route for us, greatly reducing logistics costs and improving delivery efficiency. It provides our company with a stable and new option for exports," said Liu Dun, the logistics manager of LONGi's European area.
LONGi will regard Xi'an Port as the center and transport more PV products to Europe through the freight train.
