The X8155 China-Europe freight train – loaded with 55 containers of LED displays, power inverters, gearbox control modules, and other goods – departed from Xi'an International Port Station in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on July 1, bound for Duisburg in Germany.

This is the first time the China-Europe freight train service has increased its frequency since the full timetable service was launched last October in Xi'an.

The freight train with a full timetable effectively controls the operation time of each leg of the trip and can eliminate any idle time when handling trains at port stations – thereby improving the service efficiency, quality and market competitiveness.

Starting July 1, the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an-Duisburg) has ramped up its full timetable service from one to two trips a week, operating every Wednesday and Saturday, and ensuring more convenient transportation and increasing capacity.

Also, the first return train operating on a full timetable left Duisburg on June 27 and is expected to arrive in Xi'an on July 9, with a journey time of about 11.5 days.

With the service's increased frequency, it will continue to promote the high-quality development of the freight train, deepen economic and trade exchanges with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, and play a key role in accelerating Shaanxi's opening-up.
