The freight train set off from Shiyan in Central China's Hubei province. After being assembled in Xi'an Port, it will leave the country via Alashankou port in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and is expected to arrive in Duisburg, Germany in 15 days.
Shiyan is the truck capital in China, the first commercial vehicle production base in China, and the third commercial vehicle production base in the world.
"The train is carrying intelligent automotive equipment to Europe and it needs to arrive at the German factory for delivery before the end of August. The train has significantly shortened transportation time and saved a lot in logistics costs," said Zhang Lin, director of the overseas business department of Hubei DMW Intelligent Equipment Co.
The company's main products are intelligent equipment for automobile production lines, mainly serving internationally leading new energy vehicle companies.
That same day, the commerce bureau of Shiyan and ITL Park signed a strategic cooperation agreement. With the help of the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) assembly center, the two sides will cooperate in export-oriented economy to provide solid support for the deep integration of supply chains and industrial chains between the two places.
Moving forward, ITL Park will give full play to the advantageous location of Xi'an Port and speed up the construction of the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) assembly center to build an international trade channel with high efficiency, low costs and excellent services in the inland area.
