A China-Europe Chang'an freight train (Haiphong-Xi'an-Almaty) – on a new route – departed from Xi'an International Port Station on June 21, carrying 40 containers of goods produced in Vietnam including sugar, furniture, fabrics and medical supplies.
The Xi'an International Port Station is located in the Xi'an International Trade and Logistics Park, in the city of Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

The freight train will leave the country via the Alataw Pass in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, bound for Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in Central Asia.
The goods carried by the freight train were transported by sea from Haiphong Port in Vietnam to Qinzhou Port in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and then transported to Chongqing by rail.
After being assembled in Xi'an, they were sent on their way to Central Asia by the China-Europe Chang'an freight train. It will take 15 days to finish the total journey of 5,966 kilometers.
The new route has realized the interconnection between a new land-sea logistics channel, with the China-Europe Chang'an freight train exploring a new mode of transport to strengthen international trade.
Currently, the China-Europe Chang'an freight train has become a freight service with the fastest running time, the highest degree of intelligence, the widest radiation range, the most complete service functions and the lowest comprehensive costs.
From January to May this year, the China-Europe Chang'an freight train made a total of 1,399 trips, placing it firmly among the leading services of its kind in the country.
