The China-Europe Chang'an freight train is an international freight train that departs from the city of Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province. Since starting operations on Nov 28, 2013, the freight train has seen its business develop rapidly.
Currently, the freight train can reach more than 40 cities in more than 20 countries, including Russia, Germany, Poland, Finland, Hungary, Italy and Belgium, and its routes have achieved full coverage in Europe.
From January to June 2022, it made a total of 1,791 trips, transporting nearly 1.52 million metric tons of goods, with a heavy container rate of 100 percent.
Its core indicators, including the number of trips, heavy container rate and freight volume, are right at the forefront of the country.
