The departure marked the normalization of the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) cross-border multimodal transportation train service.

The goods, mainly battery protection panels, were transported from Hanoi in Vietnam five days ago via container transportation by road, entering China through the Pingxiang Port in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and arriving at the Xi'an Guogang Railway Station.

They then continued the journey on the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) to Budapest in Hungary, with the entire transportation process expected to take approximately 20 days.

So far, China Railway Xi'an Group Co has opened 18 international transportation mainlines, achieving full coverage of major source regions in Eurasia and establishing a low-cost, high-efficiency, and service-oriented channel for international trade.

As of March 6, the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) has made a total of 752 trips in 2024, 149 more than the same period last year and marking a growth rate of 24.7 percent.

The China-Europe Railway freight train (Xi'an) cross-border multimodal transportation train service has significantly improved the efficiency of international cross-border transportation, paving the way for stable export trade for enterprises.

It has also opened a safe and efficient new international logistics route for goods from Southeast Asia to transit through Shaanxi on their way to various countries in Eurasia, providing strong logistical support for the high-quality construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
