The China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) experienced significant growth in both its operational frequency and cargo volume from January to August this year.

During this period, the freight train service made 3,447 trips, a 31.9-percent increase compared to the same period last year, transporting 3.04 million metric tons of goods, a 37-percent increase from last year.
These figures place Xi'an at the forefront of the country in terms of key indicators such as train operation frequency, freight volume, and container utilization rate.
The Xi'an International Port Station has become the top station in the country in terms of China-Europe freight train operation frequency.
The China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) has so far opened 17 international transportation routes covering major cargo sources throughout Eurasia.
Between when it first started operating in 2013 and Aug 31 of this year, the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) has made a total of 19,499 trips, accounting for one-fourth of the total cumulative train trips in the country.
