Xi'an Port is an important opening channel of the city. As such, the point of departure and arrival of the China-Europe Chang'an freight train became the first place in the country to implement the new tax rebate policy for land ports of departure this year.
The China-Europe Chang'an freight train also opened a new route across the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea. Moreover, it operated the only domestic and overseas train service with a full schedule (Xi'an-Duisburg) and opened the China-Laos and China-Vietnam routes.
As of Dec 25, the freight train had made 4,581 trips and it is on course to exceed 4,600 trips this year.
It is expected that the annual customs revenue generated from this will be 3.1 billion yuan ($445.05 million), accounting for 48 percent of the Xi'an customs area.

So far, the functional upgrading and transformation of the railway yard and station have been basically completed. The Xi'an Container Central Station will be able to meet the functional requirements of the China-Europe Chang'an freight train with 10,000 trips per year.
