Loaded with color liquid crystal displays or LCDs, car tires, COVID-19 testing reagents and a variety of daily necessities, the freight train is expected to arrive at its destination of the city of Duisburg in Germany on Oct 12.
On the 3,000th freight train, eight containers were filled with LCDs from TPV Display Technology (Xianyang) Co.
Zhong Wei, the company's logistics director, said that the freight train has not only greatly improved regional logistics efficiency, but also greatly reduced the company's transportation costs.
"So far, more than 4,000 containers of the company's products have been shipped through the freight train," Zhong said.
"Especially this year, under the multiple pressures from the complex international situation and the COVID-19 pandemic, the company can still increase its order production capacity by 24 percent, which is inseparable from the excellent and stable performance of the freight train,” he added.
The high-quality and high-frequency freight operation has reportedly opened up a major international logistics channel connecting Central Asia, West Asia, and South Asia and radiated out to the hinterland of Europe.
