Xi'an ranks fifth in business charm

Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, has ranked fifth among new first-tier cities in terms of its attractiveness to businesses, according to a list released by the China Business Network, China's leading financial media group.

In both commercial resource concentration and future growth potential, the city ranked one place higher than in 2019.

Also, for the first time this year, Xi'an has been named the newest first-tier city with the most complete transportation facilities.

The 2020 City Business Charm Ranking evaluates a city's development in 2019, based on commercial resource concentration, the city hub, urban activity, lifestyle diversity and future growth potential.

As a national central city and an international metropolis with historical and cultural characteristics, Xi'an is providing the best platform for people who want to come to do business.

In 2019, Xi'an achieved a gross domestic product of 932.12 billion yuan ($130.95 billion), a year-on-year increase of 7 percent.

Currently, Xi'an is optimizing its urban environment, comprehensively enhancing the image of the city, improving people's livelihoods, and allowing the citizens to enjoy more convenient services.

In addition, the constantly optimized business environment makes Xi'an a hot place for entrepreneurs to invest, and a good atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship is allowing more college students and graduates to start their businesses in Xi'an.
