The fifth Silk Road International Exposition and the Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East and West China kicked off in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on May 11 and will last until May 15.
The expo, which covers an area of 72,000 square meters at the Xi'an International Convention & Exhibition Center, includes international, Chinese and Shaanxi pavilions as well as four professional pavilions for intelligent manufacturing, green industry, cultural industry and rural revitalization.
During the event, 13 major activities will be held, including forums, roundtables, exchange meetings, exhibitions, and tours, focusing on topics such as economic and trade exchange, financial cooperation, education cooperation, e-commerce, quality standards, carbon neutrality and women's economic empowerment.

The Slovak Republic, this year's guest of honor, has set up its national pavilion at the expo and will hold the opening ceremony, economic cooperation and exchange meetings, cooperation project negotiations and tourism, cultural, artistic exchanges.
The guest provinces of Sichuan and Hebei, focusing on their respective industrial advantages, will hold investment and trade cooperation exchange meetings, key project promotion meetings, and other inter-provincial exchanges and cooperation.
The guest of cities of Baoji and Yulin will also organize a series of cooperation promotion activities.
Over the five-day event, Xi'an will hold seven key municipal investment promotion activities, including an industrial investment annual meeting, a cross-border e-commerce conference, project signing ceremonies and a gourmet festival.
