The Xi'an government work report – delivered at the third session of the 17th Xi'an Municipal People's Congress on Feb 15 – aroused an enthusiastic response from deputies.

"This year's government work report sums up the results achieved in a realistic way, the expected goals are objective and realistic and the work tasks are practical. After listening to the report, I am very encouraged and inspired," said Li Hong'an, a deputy to the Xi'an Municipal People's Congress and Party secretary and president of company Shaanxi Blower (Group) Co.

Li added that the company would focus on the city's eight key tasks in 2023. It would make intensive efforts in model innovation, business innovation, technological innovation and product innovation, to contribute to the integration of the advanced manufacturing and modern service industries.

Qiang Manli, a deputy to the Xi'an Municipal People's Congress and president of Daming Palace Primary School in Xi'an, said that the government work report had boosted confidence in development.

 Under the leadership of the Xi'an municipal CPC committee and the Xi'an municipal government, the city's economic development and the lives of residents would be comprehensively improved, Qiang added.
