The second session of the 15th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Xi'an Committee opened in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Feb 14 and will run until Feb 16.

The session passed the agenda of the second session of the 15th CPPCC Xi'an Committee, listened to the work report of the standing committee of the 15th CPPCC Xi'an Committee, and listened to the proposals since the first session of the 15th CPPCC Xi'an Committee.

Lu Kai, vice-chairman of the CPPCC Xi'an Committee, presided over the session, while Wang Jide, chairman of the CPPCC Xi'an Committee, delivered the work report of the CPPCC Xi'an Committee for the past year, and gave a briefing on the city's work blueprints for 2023.

In addition, the top 10 CPPCC members and outstanding CPPCC members of the 15th CPPCC Xi'an Committee in 2022 were commended.

During the meeting, more than 500 CPPCC members from 29 sectors will conscientiously perform their duties, focus on the topic of building a high-level national central city and the city's eight key tasks, and give full play to their roles in political consultation, democratic supervision, and participation in administration and the discussion of affairs.
