The first session of the 17th Xi'an Municipal People's Congress concluded in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on March 31.

A total of 549 deputies attended the closing ceremony.

The session elected the director, deputy director, secretary-general and members of the Standing Committee of the 17th Xi'an Municipal People's Congress, as well as the city's mayor and deputy mayor, director of the Xi'an Supervisory Committee, the president of the Xi'an Intermediate People's Court, and the chief procurator of the Xi'an People's Procuratorate.
