The fifth session of the 14th Xi'an Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opens on Feb 1 and will last until Feb 3.

The session will review the work report of the standing committee of the 14th CPPCC Xi'an Committee and the proposals since the fourth session of the 14th CPPCC Xi'an Municipal Committee.

During the session, more than 500 members of the CPPCC Xi'an Municipal Committee will earnestly perform their duties to conduct in-depth consultations and discussions on politics, contributing to achieving high-quality development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25). 

They will offer suggestions on holding the 14th National Games, strengthening epidemic prevention and control and accelerating the pace of national central city construction.
