3rd Sino-French Cultural Forum Kicks Off in Xi’an Today

Co-sponsored by China’s Western Returned Scholars Association, France’s Foundation Prospective and Innovation and co-organized by Xi’an Municipal People’s Government and the Sino-French Cultural and Arts Research Center, the 3rd Sino-French Cultural Forum will be held in Xi’an from September 17 to 20. As of yesterday, a large number of French scholars from culture and arts community had arrived in Xi’an, who all expressed their expectation of the current edition of Sino-French Cultural Forum in the interview with media outlets, and many of whom could not wait to explore the “codes of arts” of this city when their feet were set on the soil of Xi’an.

With “the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’: Cross-reference and Innovation of Civilizations” as the theme, the 3rd Sino-French Cultural Forum will gather celebrities of China and France in government, culture, architecture, education, arts to conduct dialogues and exchanges on topics such as museum, cultural heritages, education, tourism, design and brand, arts and lifestyle.

The activities of the current forum also include the welcoming ceremony to be held in the south gate of Xi’an City Wall; the opening ceremony and keynote speeches to be held at the Daming Palace; the Day of French City “Day of Nice” to be held at the Great Tang All Day Mall, where cultures of Nice are to be presented to the Chinese public; the international think tank forum and the dialogue of Chinese and French mayors. A number of sub-forums will also be held concurrently that include Dialogues of Sino-French Maestros, Sino-French Youth Forum, Sino-French Education and Innovation Forum, Sino-French Tourism Forum, Sino-French Forum on Cultural Heritage Protection and Added Value, Museum Forum, Sino-French Design and Brand Forum, and Sino-French Ceramic Culture Forum, etc. Exhibition and demonstration of Chinese and French cultures will also be held.
