Xi’an-Nha Trang Non-stop Flight Opens


The daytime flight of Xi’an to Nha Trang, Vietnam was boarding on Nov 22.

From today on, citizens of Xi’an can enjoy the warm sunlight of Sea Island at Nha Trang, Vietnam by taking the 4-hour long daytime flight of China’s Loong Air. At 9:25 am on Nov 22, an airbus 320 plane of Loong Air departed from Xi’an Xianyang International Airport, with 164 passengers onboard, bound for Nha Trang, Vietnam, a tourist resort known as “Little Oriental Maldives”.

On the ceremony of this maiden flight, it is learned that the line is not only the first of its kind with Xi’an as the starting point by Loong Air, and that it is also the only direct flight which is bound for Nha Trang from Xi’an in daytime.

“We boarded the plane in our thick clothes in Xi’an in the morning, but at noon we had to change to short sleeve in Nha Trang,” said a Ms Huang with her daughter in her arms, who was a member of a tourist group for a six-day trip of warm sunshine in Nha Trang. The flight captain Ma Xianwen told that on the first flight there would be lucky lottery drawing with airplane models given as the reward and the crew would interact with the passengers to have a nice trip of four hours. The flight line of Loong Air is one of the hot lines to Southeast Asia tourist destinations and Nha Trang has bathing beach good for swimming, water sports and diving.

The airbus 320 plane is employed for the flight, which opens once each day. Flight No. GJ8009 (Xi’an - Nha Trang) departs at 9:25 am from Xi’an, and arrives in Nha Trang at 14:05; flight No. GJ8910 (Nha Trang - Xi’an) takes off at 14:55 from Nha Trang, and lands in Xi’an at 19:05. The total travel time is about 4 hours and the price of ticket is around 800 yuan.

During the maiden flight six-day tourism packages are offered at 999 yuan for four-star hotels and at 1699 yuan for five-star hotels respectively. The offer not only covers local hotels of four- or five-star hotels, but also includes sufficient free hours, which can be seen as half independent travel, good for tourists experiencing Vietnamese local cultures.

Loong Air opened its first passenger flight on Dec 29, 2013, and now owns a fleet of 27 airplanes, as well as a total of 158 flight lines which cover cargo and passenger services in China and Southeast Asia.
