2017 Summer Campus for International Middle School and Primary School Students Opened and 60 Representatives Gathered in Xi'an

Themed with “the ‘Belt and Road’ Builds up a Dream Road to the Future and Connects the World”, the 2017 Summer Campus for International Middle School and Primary School Students opened at Xi’an Bo-Ai International School on July 3rd. The camp, which would last for 12 days, was participated by school headmasters, teachers and students from six countries including England, Thailand, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. 60 representatives gathered at Xi’an, the departure city of the ancient silk road. The summer campus was sponsored by Xi’an Education Bureau and undertaken by Xi’an Bo-Ai international School and Xi’an Senior Middle School, aiming to increase communication and cooperation in education along the “Belt and Road”. 

In the afternoon of July 3rd, campers were warmly welcomed at Xi’an Bo-Ai International School with a receptional ceremony where traditional Chinese dances and classic readings were performed. With the diplomatic passports delivered and the camp flag conferred, the camp was officially opened. It is learned that during the following 12 days, camps will visit famous tourists spots in Xi’an such as Shaanxi History Museum, Guanzhong Folk Art Museum, the City Wall, the Great Wild Goose Pagoda, Qin Shihuang’s Terracotta Army etc. They will also take a variety of courses in Chinese calligraphy, shadow boxing, paper cutting, Chinese movie appreciation and Chinese architectural study etc. The visiting headmasters will also attend the 2017 “Belt and Road” educational workshop for elementary and middle school headmasters, where they will exchange ideas on educational cooperation with another 11 Xi’an headmasters.
