On Jan 7, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) officially announced that the 2023 Asian Cup will be held in 10 municipalities and cities in China from June 16 to July 16, 2023.
Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, is one of the host locations. Currently, preparations are underway, and the Xi'an organizing committee is about to be established.

The other nine host locations are Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Chengdu, Dalian, Qingdao, Xiamen and Suzhou.
Compared with the 28-day UAE Asian Cup in 2019, the 2023 Asian Cup in China will last longer at 31 days. It will be the longest Asian Cup in the history of the event.
The Xi'an International Football Center project is being specially designed and built for the 2023 Asian Cup in Xi'an.

The stadium is to be located at the core of Xi'an's new center, covering an area of about 280 mu (18.67 hectares), with a total construction area of roughly 250,000 square meters and 60,000 fixed seats.
In recent years, Xi'an has made every effort to become a sports city, creating sports boutique events, enriching event carriers, expanding the sports market and improving the competition level.
