When the starting pistol sounded at precisely 7:30 am on Nov 8, 24,000 runners taking part in the 2020 Xi'an Sunac Marathon sprang from Yongning Gate in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

This year's route had certain adjustments made on the basis of previous events, integrating more urban scenery and landmarks, enabling all the runners to take in more of the urban streetscape and experience the unique charms of Xi'an Marathon.

After intense competition, Mei Zengbiao won the men's half marathon in 1 hour, 8 minutes and 14 seconds, while Xia Yuyu won the women's half marathon in 1 hour, 17 minutes and 35 seconds.
