The ancient city of Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, is decorated to celebrate the upcoming National Day holiday which falls on Oct 1-8.  This year's National Day on Oct 1 coincides with the Mid-Autumn Festival which falls on the 15th day of the Chinese lunar calendar's eighth month.
