The information office of the Xi'an municipal government held a news conference on Sept 11 to announce a program for the high-quality development of industrial parks in Xi'an, capital city of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

To date, the city has developed a total of 17 key county-level industrial gathering areas, including three provincial-level demonstration areas.

A total of 29 small and micro enterprise entrepreneurship innovation bases have been developed, including 13 national-level bases.

The total planned area of the city's industrial gathering areas is 245.16 square kilometers, of which the industrial planning area is 162.77 sq km.

Last year, the output value of the city's industrial gathering areas hit 166.9 billion yuan ($24.48 billion), while the small and micro enterprise entrepreneurship innovation bases achieved 26.79 billion yuan in operating income.

During the novel coronavirus epidemic, the city's 24 industrial parks  reduced housing rents and property fees of 9.88 million yuan for small, medium and micro enterprises.

By developing the special parks, the city will create industrial clusters focused on the advanced manufacturing industry.

In terms of improving the quality of industrial parks, the city will systematically build a comprehensive services platform for park investment, technology, financing, and entrepreneurship guidance, to provide more convenient services for businesses.
