Program recorded in Xi'an to celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year     Updated: 2019-12-27

To celebrate the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year, a brand program for Channel 3 of China Central Television (CCTV) was recorded at Tang Paradise in Qujiang New District, Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, on Dec 23.

Known as the "Little Spring Festival Gala Evening," the program will present a charming "Xi'an Feast" to audiences on the evening of Jan 23, 2020, Chinese New Year's Eve.

In addition to Xi'an, which is serving as the representative city of West China, the program will also be recorded in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province, Shantou, South China's Guangdong province, and Harbin, Northeast China's Heilongjiang province.

Comprised of singing, dancing, and martial arts performances, the program is showcasing Shaanxi special cultures, which has won applause from the audience.

At the sub-venue of Zhouzhi county in Xi'an, the program will focus on poverty alleviation efforts to showcase new ideas for grassroots poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. At the sub-venue of Bailucang Scenic Area in Baqiao district, it will pay attention to rural tourism, exploring new hotspots for the integration of cultural tourism in Xi'an.

As one of the important activities of the 2020 "Enjoy Chinese New Year in Xi'an", the program will showcase the sights, sounds, and taste of Xi'an, while also showing a different side of the historic city.
