Chang’an University, Xi'an held the 4th Silk Road International Cultural Festival on Oct 23, with the theme of "Gathering in the Heart of the Silk Road-Chang'an."
Nearly 1,000 international students from more than 60 countries gathered together to share and show their country's distinctive cultures.
In his speech, Zhao Xiangmo, vice president of Chang'an University, said that the festival has not only provided a platform for international students to showcase their culture, but also further enhanced exchanges between students across the world and provided opportunities for Chinese students to understand foreign history and culture.

Yang Ye, deputy director of the overseas study admissions department of the China Scholarship Council, said that Chang'an University's school-enterprise cooperation and training of international students have been recognized by all parties.
The festival is a demonstration of the spirit of international students at Chang'an University, displaying the international development achievements of Chang'an University, she added.

International students and Chinese students also celebrated the festival through rousing art performances, like songs and dances.
After the performances, the participants visited the Silk Road Pavilion and the Silk Road Food Pavilion carefully prepared by international students.

Since its establishment in 2014, the festival has served as a concentrated display of the positive results of the university’s international exchanges and cooperation, as well as a brand that demonstrates the harmonious atmosphere of the international campus.
