The 10th Annual Civil Aircraft Industry International Forum kicked off in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Sept 26. Nearly 400 experts and scholars discussed the latest trends in the development of civil aircraft.

Hosted by the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the two-day event aims to propel the development of the digital and intelligent civil aircraft manufacturing industry and promote intelligent technology for civil aircraft.
Wang Chengkuan, general manager of AVIC XAC Commercial Aircraft Co, said that the company has cooperated with world-famous airlines to produce aviation products, and that its subcontract production of structural parts for aircraft is among the best in the country.
The company is located in Yanliang district, Xi'an, the largest aviation center in Asia. The center manufactures aircrafts, carries out research on aircraft design and a variety of other things.
The company is currently developing the Xinzhou 700 passenger aircraft, a new generation of high-speed turboprop aircraft, which is an important part of the national strategy on civil aviation.
