A total of 25 famous Shannxi tea companies are participating in the third China International Tea Expo held from May 15 to 19 in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, to present the achievements of the Shaanxi tea industry and promote its tea brands to domestic and foreign merchants.
As the world's largest and most authoritative and influential tea expo, the China International Tea Expo has been successfully held for two consecutive years. Themed "Tea and the World, Shared Development," the 70,000 square meter expo features 3,125 booths.
The 25 enterprises are from the main tea producing areas of Hanzhong, Ankang, Shangluo, Xi'an and Xianyang, highlighting four major brands of “Hanzhong Xianhao, Ankang Tea, Qinling Spring tea, and Fuyang Tea”.
The expo is divided into two exhibition zones. The Shaanxi Comprehensive Exhibition Zone is named after “Silk Road Shaanxi Tea”, which focuses on the history and culture of the Silk Road, displaying Shaanxi tea’s unique ecological environment and regional characteristics.
The expo also has a zone for tea products from poverty-stricken regions in China for the first time and has opened a tea brand building forum for these teas, in a bid to support the local tea industry.
Seven enterprises from Shaanxi’s underdeveloped regions including Zhenba, Ziyang and Zhen'an are taking part in the tea exhibition to showcase the achievements of the Shaanxi tea industry’s efforts to help the poor.
