Xi'an, the ancient capital in Northwest China, has planned to entertain worldwide audiences with a theater, music and dance festival and also an outdoor concert this year. The theater festival kicked off on April 14 and will last through till August and the other three may start in the second half of the year. "For more than twenty years, we have worked hard to get all the world's leading art groups and artists who have come to China to appear on the stages of these four events," said Cao Yan, director of the Shaanxi Opera House, Xi'an Concert Hall, and Xi'an Symphony Orchestra.
