June to August is the best time to admire lotus flowers and currently the first wave of lotus flowers in the various scenic spots in Xi'an – capital of China's Northwest Shaanxi province – has already bloomed magnificently.

The flowers are drawing admirers to Lianhu Park, the Xingqing Palace Park, Xi'an Expo Park, Tang Paradise, the Qujiang Lake Ruins Park and Muta Temple Park.

To many, the lure is the dissipation of the summer heat amid the blooming lotus flowers and the emerald green, umbrella-like lotus leaves – adding a touch of poetic and picturesque charm.
