Throughout the summer, crowds of tourists have gathered at the ancient city wall in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, to take in immersive experiences and informal lectures about Tang Dynasty (618-907) history, folk traditions, and heritage crafts.
The events are part of a nighttime cultural series launched to give tourists a more immersive experience. They've been held from Tuesday to Friday since July 21 against the unique night scenery of Yongning Gate barbican.
