China Eastern Airlines will launch a direct flight route from Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, to Jiaxing in Zhejiang province on Jan 16. This will mark the first time direct flights are operated between the two cities.
The Xi'an-Jiaxing route, with flight numbers MU6787/6788, is scheduled to operate once a day. The flight takes off from Xi'an Xianyang International Airport at 7:30 am and arrives at Jiaxing Nanhu Airport at 09:40 am. The return flight departs from Jiaxing at 10:30 am and returns to Xi'an at 1:05 pm.

This route will be operated by China Eastern Airlines' A320-series aircraft, providing passengers with a comfortable and reliable travel experience.
A representative of China Eastern Airlines stated that the launch of this route has significantly shortened the distance between Shaanxi and northeastern Zhejiang. It will effectively promote business, tourism, and cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two regions, injecting new momentum into Jiaxing's deeper integration into the development of the Yangtze River Delta and its linkage with major urban agglomerations in China's central and western regions.
