The city saw outstanding achievements across various sectors. It won 30 national science and technology awards, ranking second in the country, and rose in the global innovation index to 18th. Its China-Europe freight (Xi'an) made 4,985 trips, a 25.1 percent increase, and the tourism industry boomed with 306 million visits and 376 billion yuan ($51.77 billion) in revenue.
Xi'an is also accelerating its industrial transformation. Key projects such as advanced laser facilities, the National Advanced Rare Metals Technology Innovation Center, and several new national laboratories are underway, reinforcing the city's innovative ecosystem. The industrial output value grew steadily, with advancements in new energy vehicles, solar cells, and semiconductors.
Xi'an's commitment to international cooperation is evident with its expanding role in the Belt and Road Initiative. The city has become a vital logistics hub, with increased international freight traffic and strong ties with Central Asia.
As it continues to integrate technology, culture, and innovation, Xi'an is poised to build an even stronger foundation for its future, focusing on sustainable urban development and enriching the lives of its people.
