As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to reshape global trade, Xi'an's cross-border e-commerce sector is undergoing a profound transformation.

Orders refresh in real-time at the Xi'an Chanba Cross-Border E-Commerce Industrial Park; with just a tap on the screen, buyers complete transactions instantly, overcoming geographical barriers. It is a microcosm of globalized trade and a testing ground for AI-driven innovation. A seasoned foreign trade expert, Feng Yang, is among the many entrepreneurs riding this wave.

"In the pre-AI era, finding business opportunities relied on talent and luck," says Feng, founder of Shaanxi (Shizi) Technology Co. His e-commerce platform, eFactory, has already established overseas warehouses in Kyrgyzstan, facilitating the sale of Shaanxi-made light industry products and textiles across Central Asia.

Unlike his first foreign trade venture, Feng's current business is AI-powered at every stage, from product development and demand analysis to digital human live streaming. His company utilizes AI tools for copywriting, visual content generation, product design, and marketing strategies, boosting efficiency.

According to Zheng Yitao, head of the industrial park, AI is transforming the entire supply chain, from procurement and demand forecasting to logistics and distribution.

Since adopting AI tools in October 2023, the park has reduced operational costs, lowered barriers to entrepreneurship, and is currently testing DeepSeek for multilingual live streaming.

At 9 pm, the industrial park comes alive with livestreaming sessions. An Iranian student enthusiastically introduces Shaanxi's specialty agricultural products to international audiences. She is among many foreign hosts nurtured through the park's partnership with 14 universities.

With end-to-end support, from free training and supply chain access to cloud warehousing and fulfillment, the industrial park is accelerating the transition of traditional foreign trade businesses into AI-driven cross-border e-commerce.

As technology replaces tradition, Xi'an is emerging as a key hub in the global e-commerce landscape, where intelligent solutions are redefining how businesses connect.
