The city has also established the Kazakhstan Xi'an Terminal and accelerated the Almaty China-Kazakhstan Logistics Hub.

The development of the international aviation hub has also gained momentum. Xi'an Xianyang International Airport now operates 53 international passenger routes and 12 international cargo routes, fully covering seven key Central Asian cities. Long-haul routes to Dubai, Moscow, Sydney, and Budapest have also been launched, boosting the city's air logistics sector to 42 billion yuan ($5.79 billion).

The city's steady progress in building national logistics hubs ensures the efficient flow of goods in domestic and international markets.

In 2024, investment in 18 key ongoing projects reached 68 billion yuan, with a total cargo throughput of 135 million metric tons and total revenue from logistics operations amounting to 162.64 billion yuan.

In 2025, Xi'an will enhance its international trade channels, launch the China-Central Asia cultural and tourism freight train, and host the second China-Europe Freight Train International Cooperation Forum. The city will also improve its aviation and logistics infrastructure, laying a solid foundation for the development of a high-quality hub economy and strengthening its role in the global supply chain.
