On Feb 23, China Eastern Airlines launched the Xi'an-Kunming-Kuala Lumpur route, with flight numbers MU873/874 operating daily round trips.
This new route offers a more convenient travel option for passengers from the three cities, enhancing connections between China's central-western region and Southeast Asia. It serves as a new bridge for economic and cultural exchanges, extending the Air Silk Road.

Outbound flight MU873 departs from Xi'an at 8:40 am, arriving in Kunming at 11:15 am. It then departs Kunming at 12:50 pm, reaching Kuala Lumpur at 4:50 pm. The return flight, MU874, departs from Kuala Lumpur at 5:50 pm, arrives in Kunming at 9:50 pm, and then leaves Kunming at 11:20 pm, landing in Xi'an at 1:35 am the next day.
The route is operated by Airbus A320 series aircraft, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey for all passengers.
Xi'an, a historic and cultural city and a key hub in Northwest China, boasts rich tourism resources and strong market potential. Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia, is a major economic, cultural, and transportation center in Southeast Asia. The new route allows convenient travel between the two cities.
