The 2024 Xi'an UAV Show and the Norinco Group (Xi'an) Hi-tech Industry Base Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Industry Technology Meeting took place on Nov 28, unveiling the white paper on the development of the Xi'an UAV industry from 2023 to 2024.
This two-day event highlighted cutting-edge technologies and products from Xi'an's thriving UAV industry, offering a platform for dialogue and collaboration to drive innovation and further growth in the sector.
Over 20 UAV companies from Xi'an presented a variety of groundbreaking products showcasing a diverse array of applications, from plateau transportation and urban inspections to highway patrols.
One standout product was a drone capable of taking off and landing on asphalt roads. Designed for border reconnaissance and logistics, the drone boasts a 12-hour flight time and high-speed capabilities, positioning it as an ideal way to swiftly transport high-value goods.
The show also marked the signing of agreements for 11 major projects, including the UAV industry park at the Norinco Group (Xi'an) Hi-tech Industry Base, with a total investment of approximately 1.57 billion yuan ($217.04 million). This park will focus on research and development, intelligent manufacturing, and application demonstrations.
In addition, North Development Investment Co and the Xi'an UAV Industry Alliance will collaborate to establish a dedicated UAV industry communication platform and a permanent venue for the annual Xi'an UAV Show.
According to the white paper released at the event, by the end of 2023, Xi'an's UAV industry had expanded to include 657 related companies, with a total industry value of 33.26 billion yuan, reflecting robust growth and promising future prospects.
