The 14th China International Trademark and Brand Festival concluded on Nov 25. The three-day event attracted renowned experts, scholars, and over 600 companies, showing the vital role of trademarks and brands in driving productivity.
As the host city, Xi'an shared its "Xi'an Model" of integrating intellectual property (IP) with industrial development and presented over 100 local brands. Xi'an has also established patent navigation systems and high-value patent cultivation centers, which have yielded significant results.
By September 2024, Xi'an had accumulated 103,700 valid invention patents and 505,200 registered trademarks. The city has also signed a strategic cooperation agreement for IP protection with cities in the Guanzhong Plain, further promoting regional IP development.
Xi'an's pavilion attracted a large number of visitors. The pavilion featured 278 companies that displayed a wide range of iconic, time-honored brands, well-known trademarks, and geographical indication products, which were warmly welcomed. Innovative products from companies such as Xi'an Giant Biogene Technology Co also garnered significant attention.
Event sales of Xi'an's agricultural product brands and time-honored trademarks reached 250,000 yuan ($34,446.51), while technological and medical devices generated over 70 million yuan in potential sales agreements.
The exhibition fully demonstrated the appeal of Xi'an brands and further enhanced their domestic and international influence.
