Xi'an Xianyang International Airport officially resumed the Xi'an to Vientiane international route on Nov 19, coinciding with the 63rd anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Laos.

This move aims to enhance the airport's Southeast Asia route network and meet the growing demand for bilateral tourism and business travel.

In recent years, economic and cultural exchanges between Xi'an and Southeast Asian countries have flourished, with travelers increasingly seeking international travel options. As a historical and cultural hub, Xi'an attracts numerous domestic and international tourists.

Vientiane, the capital of Laos, is now the first direct flight destination between Shaanxi province and Laos. It acts as a crucial gateway linking Shaanxi with Southeast Asia and offers new travel options.

The route is operated by an A320 series aircraft, with three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The outbound flight, HO1551, departs Xi'an at 12:15 am and arrives in Vientiane at 2:30 am local time. The return flight, HO1552, departs Vientiane at 3:30 am and lands in Xi'an at 7:25 am.

Xi'an Xianyang International Airport plans to continue developing its international aviation hub, optimizing its international route network, enhancing transportation capacity and service quality, and fostering a comprehensive openness that drives local economic growth and deepens international cooperation.
