Twelve cooperation projects totaling 2.99 billion yuan ($413.44 million) were signed during the 2024 Investment Promotion Conference on Xi'an (Zhuhai) Aviation (Large Aircraft) Industry and Low Altitude Economy held at the 15th Airshow China.

The Xi'an Municipal People's Government organized the conference, which attracted over 110 leading enterprises and investment institutions from the aviationand low-altitude sectors.

Xi'an government representatives highlighted the city's strengths in aviation and the low-altitude economy. They noted that Xi'an is home to a quarter of China's aerospace resources, 18 "national aviation teams",and more than 2,000 private aerospace companies, creating a trillion-yuan industrial cluster.

Professor Pan Quan from Northwestern Polytechnical University provided an in-depth analysis of Xi'an's low-altitude economy, emphasizing the city's competitive edge in general aviation, research capabilities, and the UAV industry chain.

Yanliang district in Xi'an integrates aircraft design, manufacturing, test flights, and other functions, making it the country's largest aerospace industrial base. Xixian New Area and the Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zonehave also shown the potential for developing low-altitude economy-related industries.

The conference facilitated discussions between representatives from Xi'an and Zhuhai, a city in South China's Guangdong province. Key projects, including the aircraft pipeline system production line in Yanliang district, were signed with a combined total investment of 2.99 billion yuan.

These projects span aerospace component manufacturing, industrial collaboration, and technological innovation, strengthening regional economic ties and advancing Xi'an's role in the Belt and Road Initiative.
