The 2024 Global Key and Core Technology Conference & The China Robotics Competition opened on Nov 1 in Xi'an.
Under the theme of "Key & Core Technology: New Productivity Boosters", this year's conference coincides with the 18th China Xi'an International Science and Technology Industry Expo. It has attracted nearly 300 participating companies and organizations and features six major exhibition areas, showing cutting-edge technological achievements and enriching the public's technological experiences.
Since its inception in 2017, the Global Key and Core Technology Conference has been hosted seven times in Xi'an, establishing itself as an important platform for innovative resources and industrial collaboration.

Xi'an is home to 68 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering and over 1 million researchers. The city boasts five large-scale scientific facilities and 30 national key laboratories, creating robust collaboration between technology and industry.
During the conference, significant breakthroughs in key and core technologies were announced, including advancements in highly efficient back-contact solar cells, metallic materials, and medical treatment systems, alongside the innovative outcomes of the National Science and Technology Awards.
Simultaneously, the 2024 China Robotics Competition commenced, promoting the integration of industry and innovation. This year's competition features 21 major events, including robot design and service robotics.
The conference will last three days and host several parallel sessions to discuss innovation and cooperation in future industries, artificial intelligence, and financial capital.
