Some 21,450 outstanding students from 41 colleges and universities signed up to participate at the very start of the competition.

After multiple preliminary heats, 16 contestants from 11 colleges and universities – including those from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Northwest University and Shaanxi Normal University – advanced to the final.

When the findings came in, the competition selected the first, second and third prizes. There were also two online popularity awards, 45 outstanding contestant awards, 16 excellent instructor awards and 12 university excellent organization awards.

In recent years, Xi'an has closely combined its job-hunting competition with a real-name system for employment services for unemployed graduates who have left school.

The city provides them with one career guidance consultation, three jobs promotions and one opportunity for skills training or employment practice, to further improve its service quality.
