The Symposium on International Communication of the Silk Road for Generation Z took place on June 1 at Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), hosted by XJTU, the China Education Television Association, and the Innovation and Development Research Center of China Media Group.

Zhang Liqun, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of XJTU, Wang Daping, executive vice president and secretary general of the China Public Relations Association, and Gao Xiaohong, director of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication at the Communication University of China, attended the symposium and delivered speeches.
During the symposium, the results of the First "The Youth: Connecting the Belt and Road Closer" Short-video Contest were released.
Since its inception in November 2023, the contest has attracted over 2,000 creators from more than 20 countries and regions including China, the United States, Russia, Kazakhstan, Panama, Australia, and Morocco.

Over 200 high-quality works were submitted, covering a wide range of topics such as youth culture, life, art, science, and humanities from both domestic and international perspectives.
Following a rigorous evaluation by the judging panel, the contest ultimately recognized 11 first-class works, 14 second-class works, 20 third-class works, 18 outstanding individual awards, and seven best organizational awards.
