The Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) 2020 commencement ceremony was successfully held on July 2 at its Xingqing campus in Xi'an, capital city of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the commencement ceremony was held outdoors for the first time in its history, and was also livestreamed for those graduates who could not attend.

As of July 1, the total number of 2020 graduates of XJTU was 7,184, including 3,828 undergraduates, 3,070 masters, and 286 doctors.
The number of undergraduate graduates who will continue their studies in 2020 is 2,686, accounting for 70.17 percent of the total.

In order to reduce the epidemic's impact on the graduates' employment, XJTU has organized 1,039 online and offline job fairs, providing 450,000 job positions.

The university also provided job subsidies of 488,000 yuan ($69,030.31) for 488 graduates from certain groups and subsidies of 192,000 yuan for 192 students from Central China’s Hubei province.
