Xi'an Children's Hospital has been authorized as a training site for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), making it the first official NRP training site in Northwest China.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Heart Association launched the NRP, which is internationally recognized as the gold standard for neonatal emergency care.

Rooted in cutting-edge medical guidelines, the program adopts a standardized, systematic, and team-based training model for neonatal resuscitation and emergency treatment and serves as a key international benchmark for measuring the standardization and professionalism of neonatal resuscitation services.
To meet international certification criteria, Xi'an Children's Hospital strictly followed the AAP's access requirements, selected backbone physicians to prepare in advance as reserve instructors, delivered systematic training in accordance with international procedures, and invited leading industry experts to supervise the entire teaching process.
All 24 trainees at the hospital have passed theoretical studies, hands-on drills, and the final comprehensive assessment. Two reserve instructors have also completed the full certification process and obtained official NRP instructor credentials, laying a solid talent foundation for the hospital to deliver regular internationally standardized training.
