Xijing Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University
Xijing Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University, formerly known as the Central Hospital founded in Yan'an in 1939, is a large modern comprehensive hospital, and one of the top hospitals in China. In 2017, the number of outpatient and emergency services was 3.8725 million. The hospital has a capacity of 140,300 inpatients and 87,000 operations. The 34 clinical disciplines in the hospital are PhD-authorized disciplines, with nine national key disciplines, 17 national clinical key specialties (military construction projects), 12 military medical research institutes and six specialty centers. The 15 disciplines have ranked in the top ten of the best specialty reputation of Chinese hospitals, among which digestive disease has been ranked first for eight consecutive years.There is one academician of the Academy of Engineering, three chief scientists of "973", ten specially invited professors of Yangtze River scholars, ten winners of National Distinguished Young Scholars Fund, six winners of National Excellent Young Scholars Fund, five young and middle-aged scientific and technological innovation leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Since 2008, the hospital has won three first prizes of national scientific and technological progress, four second prizes of national scientific and technological progress and one prize of national scientific and technological innovation team, first prize of military scientific and technological progress, first prize of medical achievement, first prize of scientific and technological innovation of Chinese hospital, and 14 first prizes in science and technology of Shaanxi province.
