The China Federation of Literary and Art Circles recently approved the establishment of the third batch of gathering bases for new artistic and literary organizations and groups. These organizations include private cultural studios, cultural brokerage agencies, online literature and art communities, and online writers and independent filmmakers, singers, and artists.
The construction of the bases began in 2022. The aim is to encourage each base to incorporate its own local characteristics, promote collaborative development, stimulate creativity, and foster positive interaction and resource-sharing dynamics between itself and the federation.
Since its establishment in 2012, Minleyuan Cultural Street has become a hub for diverse cultural activities. It has attracted nearly 70 businesses, 186 new artists, and 12 new artistic organizations, covering 10,000 square meters. The street also contains eight provincial, nine municipal, and 39 district-level intangible cultural heritage projects.
Since its inception, over 20 institutions have joined the street, and numerous events have been organized with thousands in attendance and over 1 million online followers. These events emphasize traditional Chinese culture, offering various activities such as exhibitions, performances, lectures, and volunteer services.
