Huaqing Palace celebrates Intl Women's Day with rich activities

The Huaqing Palace scenic area in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, launched themed events to celebrate International Women's Day, which took place on March 8.

On the day, female visitors with the surname Yang, as well as women dressed in hanfu, traditional Chinese-style clothing, were granted free admission to the scenic area.

To enhance the festive atmosphere and better meet the needs of visitors, the Huaqing Palace scenic area organized a hand fan-making activity, which attracted the participation of numerous visitors. At the event, visitors engaged in the joy of creating hand fans, showcasing great enthusiasm and creativity.

Furthermore, the scenic area presented exquisite cultural and creative souvenirs to the female visitors, providing them with a strong sense of ceremony and happiness.

The Huaqing Palace carries a history and cultural heritage spanning back centuries. Within this ancient Tang Dynasty (618-907) palace, female visitors not only have the opportunity to appreciate the elegance of the royal gardens and experience the charm of Tang Dynasty culture, but they also got to learn about the bathing and health practices that were once enjoyed by legendary royal concubine Yang Yuhuan.
