The Grand Tang Mall – a pedestrian street in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province – was recently designated as a national-level tourism and leisure block, according to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Covering a total area of 936 hectares, the Great Tang Mall has a length of 2,100 meters, themed on the culture of the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
On the mall, distinctive large buildings and sculptures are to be seen, with a host of other features ranging from quaint lampposts and scroll-styled benches and other cultural design elements of the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
During the 2023 Spring Festival, the pedestrian mall launched a series of Tang culture-themed events and performances, creating for visitors the experience of being in the Tang Dynasty.
The pedestrian mall has also developed cultural and creative products, such as customized mystery boxes, which has proved very popular with tourists.
In addition, intelligent and complete support facilities add charm and create a safe and comfortable atmosphere for people.
