Taiping National Forest Park

The Taiping National Forest Park -- located in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province -- is a national 4A-level scenic spot to the north of the Qinling Mountains.

It has been defined by UNESCO as a World Geopark site and is an ever-popular scenic nature spot in Xi'an and Shaanxi.

The annual average temperature there is around 7-10 degrees and the forest coverage rate is more than 96 percent. The original forest is well protected and rich in resources.

The scenic spot is mainly covered by natural resources and it is especially known for its water scenery, plants and pristine landscape.


Address: Meiyang village, Huyi district, Xi'an, Shanxi province

 Ticket price:

60 yuan ($9.38) per adult

30 yuan per child (height 1.2- 1.4 meters) and students with valid certificates

Free for active serviceman, military academy students, retired Red Army veterans, the disabled, the elderly over 65 years old and children under 1.2 m in height.

Opening hours:

March 1- Nov 30: 7 am-6 pm

Dec 1- end of February: 8 am -5pm
