The International Art Invitation Exhibition of the Contemporary Silk Road, co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, opened in Xi'an on Oct 24.

Several artists from China, Russia, the United Kingdom, Italy, and South Korea attended the event.

The exhibition, as one of the important activities of the 9th Silk Road International Art Festival, has been held eight times since 2014.

It has become an influential exhibition in the Silk Road art world, promoting art creation and production, facilitating the exchange and mutual learning of Silk Road civilizations, and promoting people-to-people exchanges.

This year's exhibition showcases over 600 art pieces from more than 90 countries and regions, including Chinese paintings, oil paintings, prints, sculptures, watercolors, and letterings.

It reflects the history and culture of the Silk Road and presents a magnificent picture of art exchange and cooperation among countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
